About me

Joyce Wiebe is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). She has over a decade of experience in the helping profession, working in community services, immigrant support programs, healthcare, and government organizations. Joyce specializes in supporting youth, parents, and families facing challenges such as sexual abuse, mental health issues, grief, and loss.

Joyce holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trinity Western University. Her training and experience include adolescent mental health and providing counselling for individuals, couples, families, and groups. She has helped clients manage anxiety, depression, psychosis, and eating disorders. Joyce is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through the UBC School of Professional Development. Additionally, she is skilled in play therapy and Emotionally Focused Family Therapy for couples and individuals.

Joyce believes counselling empowers individuals to identify their strengths and build resilience. She creates a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore personal growth and enhance their well-being. Joyce values each person’s unique story and strives to provide the support they need to heal and grow. Her approach is non-judgmental, compassionate, and client-centered, recognizing that clients are the experts in their own lives and can achieve meaningful change with the right guidance.

Known for being authentic, attuned, flexible, and dedicated, Joyce is committed to meeting the unique needs of her clients. As a certified clinical counsellor in the MAMFT clinical model, she takes pride in helping individuals find clarity and create fulfilling lives.
